In a recent update this game was made compatible with the Xbox 360. If you have that system, it might be worth picking up cheap at Amazon.com (~$17 after shipping from a few vendors). I'm going to be getting a copy.

I've completed this game before, but never with a Bard. The reason is that I do not understand how bardic music works. If I start singing while walking, the song seems to stop during combat.
