What other RPGs do/did you play?

So after I canceled my more than three years lasting WoW subscription two months ago, I finally had the time to attend to other games again. Instead of buying a brand new one, I started to look for games I played in my childhood. I was so happy to get a C64 emulator to work and replay my all time fa...

Re: Maze of Dread

Unfortunately, my party's weaknesses continue to amplify. Hey Horpner. You might have read my conclusion about my party set up I wrote two weeks ago. It referred to the Dos version and now that I finished the Amiga version I can say that it applies to it as well. I played the same setup again excep...

That's a pretty good idea. When I last replayed Thief of Fate I was constantly on the look for some useful informations about the many items BT3 yields. I came across these two lists which I ended up using every time I found a new mysterious item. GameFAQs BT3:Items However, there is no explanation ...

This applies only to the C64 version.
The Dos and Amiga versions of Destiny Knight have a very handy save option.

Why do you think the C64 version if the best? It's been ages since I played the Dos and Amiga versions. But I remember some issues like: You need to press K to enter houses but you can't use J+L for turning around. So you need arror keys+K for walking which is unnecessarily complicated. To fasten t...

Hello Horpner, I've discovered that thread two weeks ago and already posted in it :) It really yields some valuable informations concerning the Amiga version of BT1. Despite the bugs I have to admit that I like the Amiga version best of all due to the graphics and the music. I remember spending hour...

There are definitely more than one version. I only remember a red one with skulls, but I think there are at least 3 different styles.

Hey Saxon, I switched pretty soon from C64 to the Dos version. Even using the warp function, the loading times got on my nerves. Every time I faced a special building, an encounter, checked the rooster, etc. I had to hit alt-w - pretty annoying. My party set up worked out quite well and I was able t...

I played BT1+2 on Amiga in the 80s and BT3 on C64 when it was released. I just replayed all parts on emulators, BT1+2 via DosBox and BT3 on CCS64. Such great games, still so much fun to play. Almost a decade later I replayed BT1 and BT2 (the Amiga version) using a emulator for my PC. Hey Brian and a...

Hi Marco, there might occur some graphic issues when a monster joins your party. I had once an Illusion that was shown as a black spot. However, I've just finished Thief of Fate on the C64 emulator and there wasn't a single corrupted monster of the ones I encountered. And since you don't need any cr...

Is that what you have to say?
I tried Sage and The Sage.
Anyway, when I resetted the game, he asked another question I was able to answer correctly, fortunately ;)
Thanks anyway!

Review Board Bug on MS-Dos?

Lately, if I want to advance in the Review Board, the Elders want to test my knowledge of the land. They ask me: "What is at the bottom left of the map?" I answer "Corinth" which was correct plenty of times before but this time they deny my advancement by saying "you had bes...

Thanks Dragon! I've already tried to rescue the Princess, it's so hard ;-( The first time I forgot the Winged Creature, the second time and I didn't have enough spell points left for the levitation spell on lvl 2, the third time the emulator crashed and the fourth time my paladin died and didn't get...

Party Set Up ?

Hi there, I've just started The Destiny Knight on the C64 Emulator. So what party do I start off with? Currently: 1. Paladin 2. Monk 3. Hunter 4. Bard 5. Magician 6. Conjurer Do I have to save the 7th space for an NPC or do I start with 7 self-made heroes? And if I created another character, should ...

You can use the Youth Potion which can be found in the inspectable building in Scara Brae.
Later your Chronomancer will get the OLAY spell which cures this effect.
