Bard's Tale-influenced artwork

I saw this graphic for an music release and just HAD to share. Note the artwork is credited to Matt Anderson for the "unofficial" release of DJ Tacopunch - Tacopunch Is A Lv 13 Elf Rogue https://www.discogs.com/DJ-Tacopunch-Tacopunch-Is-A-Lv-13-Elf-Rogue/release/1502188 Note I strongly dou...

Thanks to dragonbait for highlighting the motion key differences between versions.
As for Winged Creature, I looked at his résumé, and all it says is:
"Enjoys flying across 10 foot chasms."

Herb Figurines and (Blast) Dragon Figurines (from Grey Crypt, level 1) were used. A Slaymaker joined my party in Maze of Dread and that helped me get a foot in the door at the Grey Crypt.

At least some versions actually show a chasm. The dos version does not, it just looks like regular flooring. I'm like... "yeah, show me the chasm!" Thankfully, my party didn't fall to their deaths, simply blocked from moving north. I did some bit-fiddling and found a curiousity: Th...

Gamplay Status

Okay, before I switch to playing Tales of the Unknown (for awhile), I'm simply going to share my latest gameplay status/update. Note this is simply gameplay, not testing! Please share yours as well!! Have 3 characters: Bard lvl.16, Monk lvl.12, Paladin lvl.5. Still gathering items from dungeons for ...

Yes, the rest of the Ultimate RPG Archives manual is for other games: "Stonekeep" comes before the BT I section; "Ultima Underworld" after BTCS. If the Title and Contents pages are not included, the page count looks correct.

In Destiny Knight BT II (PC DOS) I was bummed that my Hunter lost his critical hit ability once I passed the 255 value. It simply rolled over and started again at 0! I now save up experience points to level up 9 - 15 levels in succession.

Favorite TV Shows?

I'd say Legend of the Seeker (although it ended after 2 seasons) but The Brady Bunch is good too.

...sigh... I've been trying bunches of different NPCs: Storm Giants, Red Dragons, Spectres... sometimes they'll put up a fight, but usually they'll get squashed by some real nasty enemy. I did have some recent success with Salamanders, but I doubt they will continue winning fights for my party. I am...

Find enemy AC levels for BT1 (probably documented on The Adventurers' Guild), and subtract a spread of 4 to 6 points to determine if your characters' AC levels are low enough to avoid melee attacks. Remember, spell casting enemies can get around AC advantages. ...take some time to exploit weaker ene...

The only good Doppleganger...

...is a dead one!?? But seriously, I can think of one or two ways a living Doppleganger could be useful, but I am having difficulties thinking about how a dead Doppleganger NPC would be useful. Any suggestions? For your amusement, a dead Doppleganger NPC file exists at: http://gwhizl.com/btfiles/931...

My estimate was rather bad. It took 47 fights to find those 3 specific items. The first came after only 3 fights; the second after 12 fights. Found Bracers[4] finally after the 84th fight, it was the last of the 32 items. I did a 2nd trial: It took 80 fights to find those 3 specific items. The first...

Playing with an withered character is an acceptable risk when I have other members who can step up (~change march order). If I am simply fighting to gain experience or to maintain my position whilst drawing maps, I'll accept one withered character. Honestly, I'm not too familiar with the side effect...

Predicting item mining

In my latest DOS BT2 game, my next task involves taking my group to MD1, primarily to find 3 specific items which are known to exist in that location. Would anybody care to guess / estimate how many wins (successful fights) it will take to find 3 specific, different items? I estimate that it will ta...
