Saint ones, the abundance of relevant information here and in general is astonishing. Modders, disassemblers, you r on the right route to holiness, so never try to grab a few minutes and help someone! The one reading this and most other topics might feel it is a gathering of ex-Cern, or NASA associa...

modding / balancing original BTs

ave (though this seems to be totally superfluous in this great "brotherhood" forum) any mods exist for any original BT? I think mostly of 8-bit ver., as 16-bit GFX is "off-theme" for me. (Heard about an altered BT with some kind of extra dungeon levels, and apple 2 mapper,....but...

Well at least you're starting to actually participate in discussions about Bard's Tale rather than posting "oh look BTIV here" once every year and a half or so. He is welcome to post even if he doesn't post often. Please try to keep on the topic of this thread not resort to personal attac...

BT 1 (& 2) on Apple IIgs - the real Easter Eggs?

Greets. The enhanced Apple IIgs GS/OS ver. of BT 1 is really fine - at least the most convenient & user friendly! (Program played - "tested" - from the Cellars to all Catacombs levels and Harkyn lev 2, seems quite fine, although I played the original 8 bit versions about a decade ago)...

Devil Vodka (modded) vs true Bard's Tale impressions

Ave to thee non-abstainers! Have ya tasted any Devilish pure or mixed (modded)? Quite a few years have passed since its release, it may have already many patches & mods, making it quite competitive. How do thou, brought up on the original inspiration, smell the fragrance of the new product with ...

BT 1 - An enjoyable and hopefully optimal Party?

Ave to thee, wanderers of Skara Brae. As my "recent", not too popular poll-thread http://brotherhood.de/Bardstale/talefiles/board/viewtopic.php?t=1026&postdays=0&postorder=asc&vote=viewresult suggests, I decided to play BT 1 of the series, on APPLE II GS (with ActiveGS emulato...

Compare the episodes of the Bard's Tale series

Greets to thee, faithful to the BT series. Thy impressions - gained through long play-experience, and not trivial manual info - would be welcome on the different episodes, - without any bloodshed in arguing. Which episode do you find the most enjoyable / competent and recommend? (Important it is fo...
