Devil Whiskey is a very good game with some nice player mods to go off also. I still find Dragon Wars and the AD&D games plenty of fun, and with FRUA, there are literally hundreds of free player mods out there, and it is also abandonware.

Those maps were some of the best I have seen on the web. I did a cut and paste of them into an excel spreadsheet, and a PDF. Very nicely done.

For me, it took my imagination and made it playable. It was sometimes so difficult, that you felt like giving up, but something about it wouldn't let you. It had so many character classes, with their own strengths, that you got a chance to pretend that you were dozens of different heroes.

Keep us posted-always looking for something old school. I play the FRUQ user mod stuff all the time. I highly recommend the Ray Dyer Reals series. There are a lot of them, and they connect from one to the next in various sectors of the realms.

Love the AD&D stuff as well. They made a user mod creator for the gold box games called FRUA. It is abandonware now, so it is free. It is found many places on the net, and would already have the AD&D rules and spells etc. I love Michael Moorcock, especially Elric. The FRUA engine is supposed...

What sort of adventure are you creating with the btcs?

You need a magic carpet, or a levitate spell. Then hit the E key to ascend, or the W key to descend through the portal

Maybe I don't understand your question, but if I do, then the answer is that the up from each level, is the down from the level above. The stairs that go up from Level 2 to Level 1, are the same spot to go down to level 2 from level one.

It is the same in BT1, though I found that you seem to get hit about the same once you get past -7 anyways

There are several in Skara Brae. If you have the PC map, they will show the locations. If you don't, they are on this website for download. If you come out of the adventurers guild, go south around some corners and one is on your right.
