Re: Bard's Tale Sinclair ZX Spectrum Poster
Fantastic. It would be fun to guess the races and classes of the patry. For example, I guess the member performing the dismbowment is a hunte achieving a critical hit.
I believe ZZap! 64 may have contained some BT related artwork too, especially in the adventuring and tips sections.

Re: Board Moderator
I love the new theme, but for me the contrast is too low, making the text hard to read on my tablet.

Sorry to say, but this thread seems to be lost permanently. There is no option like a recycle bin in Windows. Deleting something in the board really means permanently destroying it. :-( I figured as much. I was hoping that you may have set the site to do backups. I guess it's also safe to assume al...

Sorry, I mistyped scale there. Im pretty sure that Paladins cannot use dmnd plate or the spectre snare. Hence warriors can get a lower armour class. But paladins are resistant to magic, and are less likely to get stoned I guess, which is a good thing. Darendor, the silver square is with one of my wi...

Here are my recommendations for paladins: crystal sword mthr plate or adnt scake dmnd helm shield ring elf cloak wargloves pureshield or dragonshield Here a...

I'm actually a veteran of the original Apple IIE Bard's Tale I. To be honest, I don't know if I've still got a pristine version of the character disk, but I *might* - I do, however, have a very clear memory of the ATEAM's makeup in Apple IIE BT1, since they were the party I originally completed the...

The C64 tape version of The Bard's Tale 1 had a 'party editor'. During my levels, I would load iteratively load individual characters into the roster and pool gold to one individual, increasing my gold so that I could afford healing at the Temples. It's not cheating if it's within the engine of the ...

My favourite SSI game was Buck Rogers Countdown to Doomsday on the C64. I completed it and found the storyline very interesting. It's essential to have the log book which contains extra textual descriptions of certain locations. I completed the game on my C64. The C64 version has great graphics and ...
