I think this might be the definitive version of Destiny Knight. It even has ambient sound effects, you can hear your sword clank at it hits off the flesh of a lizardman, your characters will sigh when you heal them and doors creak when you leave a city. Also, if you press V you can modify some setti...

Ah, yea I guess someone who works in the computer field should have realized that

I just set my monitor to 800x600 resolution during play and that works perfectly.

I wonder if there is a way to take a screen shot from this emulator so I can post them.....

To get through the gates you need a particular obviously useful item from Tales of the Unknown. In addition, on the Amiga version at least, the item must be equipped in order for it to work (equipage requirements aren't standardized across versions). The old man who sells it has an outlet somewhere...

I must say, though, the traps seem to work the same on the emulator as I remember them working in the original game. Moreover, the best tactics hardly ever step on a trap, so even if the traps are hopelessly weak, you aren't missing much. Are you talking about the C64 version? If you walk onto a tr...

 Not ready to resort to that yet.

Great thanks again dragonbait! This version is very nice! Added sound effects even, and the zip speed function is great. Only thing is the bard songs sound different but then again that is nit picking. And can you make the emulator screen any larger? By the way, were you involved with creating the D...

Ok, nope this version doesn't work for traps either, I have no idea why. I went to the tombs and Fanskars and walk over some traps witht his version and nothing on any of them. The screen flashes sometimes but nothing at all to my party. I tried with both CCS64 and Vice and same result. I cant beli...

Its possible that the traps that are in the dark domain (trainer dungeon) were meant to go easy on adventurers and may only damage the party on occasion. I took a video of the Dark Domain a little while ago while using the Apple IIGS version. If you view the video below notice that at 1:33 I hit a ...

Maybe a dumb question....But how do you enter Dargoth's Tower? I talked to the sage and he told me where to go but when I get there all I can find is a couple of locked gates. How am I supposed to open them? Don't post any spoilers please though, a subtle hint would be better:) Will I find a way to ...

Re: Fanskar's Fortress

This has to be the lamest of all dungeons. It's one measly level, it has a really boring Death Snare, and it's got an annoyingly large darkness+anti-magic zone with a few spinners just for giggles. It's much too easy to stumble onto the Death Snare before finding the clues, too. I doggedly mapped o...

Wow, very cool Horpner! I have searched everywhere for an original image without the trainer!

Im at work now, but I will try and test the trap function when I get home.

There is a trap on the second level of the trainer dungeon a bit south of the room with the medusa I believe.

CheerS!

To make animated screenshots, you will need a program that can make animated .gif files. I think there may be other programs that make animated .png files but I haven't used any as of yet. First I started off using a program called "Better Screenshots" This program is pretty good, however...
