Re: The best party
as far as i remember: you need a bard to solve a riddle somewhere (play a special bard song) a rogue helps with some hard boss fights, but you can do this fights without him. but you definitely need him to use an item in malefia. (i played for weeks without a rogue and managed to defeat all bosses, ...

Re: How can I regenerate spell points faster?
other ways to get more SP are: * equip a mage staff (1sp per combat turn) * additionally(!) have a conjuror staff in your inventory to reduce spell costs by halve. you dont have to equip it, so can you a mage staff, too. on my c64 version, an oscons staff gave 2sp/turn and i therefore replaced my ma...

Re: Attributes caps?
you can increase your abilities until 30 in bt3. you gain a bonus every 3 points. (every 3 points in dex gets you a +1AC, every 3 points in con gets you 1hp more per level..., (so you gain bonus at ...15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30) i think luck will increase your saving throws and str your to hit chance. s...

as far as i remember you need a bard, too, in bt3.
there is one quest where you have to cast some spells to solve a riddle.
and i think one step was to play a bard song.

Re: Compare the episodes of the Bard's Tale series
I think i like BT3 most, too. The epic scale of the quest line and to become gods at the end. But what i like most, are technical things: * Ability to save anywhere. (but you can have this with emulators in bt1+2, too) * (auto-)map * see detailed stats for crit/hide chance * see amount of uses left ...
