I played the Commodore 64 version and my party could never hit anything either by that point.

It was just spells, flame horn, throw weapons.

It's one of the main reasons why BT2 was my least favorite of the three.

The monk is probably better short term, while the hunter is better long term. If you plan on keeping this party through to Bard's Tale 3, both the Hunter and the Monk are superior to the Warrior and the Paladin. I myself alway hung onto the Rogue and kept the Bard and slot number 3. I just had him u...

I forget what is of importance on Level 2. I would think it is open because of Kylearan's tower. Given that there was no "save-anywhere" feature, it would be very annoying to have to hack your way through all of Harkyn's, face the Beserkers, then Tarjan, then navigate your way through Kyle...

Two things I forgot to mention when typing the first post (my kids were waking up from naptime) - more Bard songs, and have references to the later games earlier on. That's interesting regarding the different computers. I played the Bard's Tale 1 and 2 only on a Commodore 64. I of course played BT3 ...

Remaking the Bard's Tale 1-3

I know when people talk about reviving the series (Which I know is unlikely to happen...), I've usually seen Bard's Tale 4 discussions. But, let's say someone decides to redo the first 3 games. Given that these games are 20-25 years ago, I'm not sure a remake with just better graphics and sound woul...
