AtariST Version Problems

Post by HawkeyePierce »

Hi there,
first of all, thanks for this board an everything, its still hard to belive for
me, that i finaly made it back to Scara Brae - after more than 20 years.

So much for the joy, here comes the rain: Since i've used to play the
game on a AtariST back in the 80's, i, of course, had to give the first
shot to the ST-Version from this site.

I've been using it along with the SaintST emulator, but the game constantly
crashes short after leaving the adveturers guild, showing me the infamous Atari bombs ;).

My PC-System
(waaay out of date, but fully payed):

AMD Atlon2600+
1 Gig Ram
Nvidia GForce 3 Ti
DirectX 9c
Windows 2000 Sp4

I hope you can help me with my little problem; meanwhile i'm heading back
to the wine cellars of the Scarlet Bard, using the just fine working DOS version ;).

Bye

Hi,

My only advice : try the Steem emulator.
I've just finished the game with this emulator, and never had a single crash.

And I don't know if SaintST have this option, but the speed-up option of Steem is very usefull (especially for long combat, like the 4x99 berserkers ;))

Good luck
