Not strictly Bard's Tale related, but since there's been a lot of discussion of assembly code on this board, I thought you guys might find this interesting - Jordan Mechner has released the original Apple II source code for Prince of Persia:

Man, I for one would give anything to get my hands on the original design notes of anyone involved in designing Bard's Tale...
