NaNo or NaNoWriMo is short for National Novel Writing Month. To complete the novel in November you have to average 1,667 words a day. I'm on track at the moment but suspect I will fall behind soon.

I was going to write a novel once about my experiences as a security guard.

I haven't done it yet because- oh shiny...

To some degree that what NaNo is for. Many people have thought of novel ideas but never get to writing it. NaNo gives you reachable goal but not enough time that you can just sit back and keep putting it off.

I was resigned in the fact that I wasn't going to make it. Then my niece who did it last year thought I should be able to do it. So I pushed extra hard and managed to complete the 50,000 words. Now I just need to edit it and cleanup a few things I don't like.
