I notice lately that whenever I visit the board there seems to be no less than 10 "guests" browsing the forum, no matter what time of day it is.

Is this Google crawling the forum, or is something more sinister afoot?

I saw two guests, and I was one of them because I didnt have my password set up. Now I'm logged in I see only one guest. Did you zap the other guests?

Vanilla moderators on a phpBB forum are pretty much powerless to directly affect player accounts, much to my chagrin. I'm unable to edit accounts to remove the spam link from their signatures.

There's modules that can be added to the software that can extend moderator abilities to emulate certain administrator functions, however.

I know this because years ago I used phpBB to host a fansite forum of my own.
