I think the hand drawn maps are fine as they are. They remind me if the maps I pencilled in an old maths exercise book back in the day, especially as I used some of the same drawing techniques such as circled numbers, text under the map, shaded darkness areas and askerisks for special areas.

I feel bad that you had to map out Scara Brea - the c64 tape version of the game came with a beautiful map of the town.

Your notes about special item drops are fascinating as I don't think anyone has ever noted these before.
