GAME-BREAKING BUG ALERT

The "possession" trap at 1N, 20E keeps auto-repeating, trapping the player and preventing any progress.

Seems like you forgot to set the "clear" flag once the party cures the DISP member and discontinues combat.
The 'possession' is three times (better than one time). After the third possession, it is cleard.

An interesting....effect...

I fought the Ancient One in Mangar's Tower, and it withered my Bard.

After diving into the pool of boiling liquid (SPOILER ALERT - it's a tile-for-tile reproduction of Mangar's Tower Level 5 from BTI), my entire party got poisoned, so I cast REST, and it cured the "Old" status as well.

I guess condition flags don't stack.

Did you check your attributes? Are they still 1?

His AC went back to L0 from -7, so I presumed since his Dex stat went back to 18 everything else did as well.

Just a thought: On the original Mangar's Tower level 5, after the party kills Mangar and is rewarded by Kylearan, a pair of Liches appear if the party tries to backtrack out of the level.

You could maybe put these in your version too.

Back to level 2 of the Crypt, at 13N, 11E the hint has "pushing"; this should instead say "push".

The 3rd battle says "12 Greater Demon"; "Demon" should be pluralized to "Demons".

Finally, the "It seems" sentence should read like this: It seems that no more monsters are coming out of the door.

And with that, I have beaten the game.

The ending was kind of pretty much the same as BTI - kill bad guy, Kylearan appears and says "Yo, good job Dawg, here's some XP lmao" and vanishes. Poof, game over.

But overall, a very nice effort indeed. You've successfully created a homebrew game using the BTII engine on the C64.

Well done. I hope you had fun and I hope that it was sometimes was annoying with the riddles and fights.

You're right! Very flat and equal to BT1.

Which levels had your characters at the end of the game?
I guess the fights with the mosters were easier than in BT1 and BT2?
What do you think about the balancing? I think there is a better chance to survive in the 1st level than in BT1 (if you found McFly).
The battle at 15N, 4E on Crypt Level 3 is literally unbeatable. The Mangar Lich completely annihilates the party, no matter what.
I guess with my hint this fight was a bit easier?

Well like I pointed out, the riddles at times felt a bit nonsensical, but that's just me.

Paladin: Level 47
Warrior: Level 47
Monk: Level 46
Bard: Level 47
Hunter: Level 46
Archmage: Level 15
Archmage: Level 14
(Archmages had all spell levels from all classes)

The fights were tougher, actually, simply because of the watered-down spells and also the nerfed ACs.

McFly's seemed to serve no purpose, so I don't get how it makes it easier to survive. :?

Also, respond to my PM.
