It would seem that AC is incapable of being displayed below L0, as opposed to how in the vanilla BTII game it goes to L+.

Why is this?

Your puzzles are far too obscure, dude.

Code: Select all

I serve by being devoured. Thin, I am quick. Thick, I am slow. Wind is my foe. What am I?
Like what in the name of Mangar's Meatballs?? :?

Okay so, here is where I hit a dead end.

I got the amulet thing (I, er, "sidestepped" that annoying magic mouth which I presume teleports me to an otherwise restricted area of the dungeon) from the prison, and the ghost dude told me to go visit Kylearan with it. :?

Only, like, he doesn't fricking exist.

Where do I look?

You should explore all huts, at least that one which lies in the forest.

This seems to be a rather important thing that needs fixing, unless it's by design?

Having put the proper password in regarding the Magic Mouth at 6N, 5E on level 4 of the Prison, I can discern no obvious effect aside from it saying "Correct!".

There appears to be no way inside the 100' x 90' room contained in the northwest section of the floor.

Another typo: The word "clen" should be "clean" when speaking to Kylearan.

A logic fault: The message at 11N 3E on Cellar level 1 says "...a square of 5x6"; a square cannot have sides that are not precisely even; the word "square" should therefore read "rectangle".

No, I have limited the AC to -10 (L0).

If the answer is correct, a teleporter will appear in the near area.
Another typo: The word "clen" should be "clean" when speaking to Kylearan.
You're right!
A logic fault: The message at 11N 3E on Cellar level 1 says "...a square of 5x6"; a square cannot have sides that are not precisely even; the word "square" should therefore read "rectangle".
And again, you're right! Should be rectangle.

So the dungeons are the following (you should visit them in this order):
- Tower
- Ancient Ruins
- Prison
- Kylearan's Cellar
- Temple
- Fortress
- Crypt

Just as a hint.

I appear to have skipped over the Ancient Ruins on account of not knowing they exist.

You should consider placing hints like Mr Cranford did in the vanilla BTII game as to which dungeon is next. Like in the Tombs for instance you encounter a text message saying "Ask the wise of FANSKAR", which of course refers to the next dungeon to go to (Fanskar's Castle).

I presume the Ancient Ruins' entrance is found within the forest?

Nevermind, found the ruins.

The entry message at 1N 0E on level 1 says "chippins lying". Those darn chippins, I tell ya, they never tell the truth ever.

It should say "chippings laying".

"BESTIARY" is misspelt; it should be "BEASTIARY".

Fun note: On my map I put "BEASTIALITY". :?

The "party of trogdolytes" at 15N 10E should load a picture.

Alright, so.

A magic mouth wants the name of the dude buried in Kylearan's Cellar (honestly, the guy has a corpse in his cellar?), but....there is no mention of this person anywhere.
