Yes, he has built his hut above a tomb. Similar to the wine cellar - sewers thing in BT1. His name can be found in the town. The magic mouth in the cellar gives a hint. If it's too difficult I will help you via PN.A magic mouth wants the name of the dude buried in Kylearan's Cellar (honestly, the guy has a corpse in his cellar?), but....there is no mention of this person anywhere.

Re: A New Tale - Fan Project
noDo I need to bribe a barkeep?
Re: A New Tale - Fan Project
Again, your hints are too vague. It makes for frustrating gameplay.
Re: A New Tale - Fan Project
So I simply decided "f#$% it" and used > 0029 13 to go past the dumb mouth, and lo there's the answer.
That name is literally nowhere to be found dude.
That name is literally nowhere to be found dude.

The magic mouth in Kylearans cellar gives the hint 'only a temple wears his name".That name is literally nowhere to be found dude.
Re: A New Tale - Fan Project
What temple!?
Re: A New Tale - Fan Project
Is it strictly necessary that I have squire buddy join my party?
Re: A New Tale - Fan Project
Okay, so two things here.
a) It's incredibly annoying design to force the player to sacrifice a party slot when they've made a 7 character party.
b) Garth is a pacifist who doesn't fricking attack.
c) That Spectre in the room next door can go eat a @#%$^&.
Yes, that's three things instead of two, but I don't care.

Re: A New Tale - Fan Project
Yes, this could be annoying. But you have this design also in BT2 (old warrior, princess...)a) It's incredibly annoying design to force the player to sacrifice a party slot when they've made a 7 character party.
He won't fight. He helps you in an other way.b) Garth is a pacifist who doesn't fricking attack.
Did you made it with the spectre? Should be a very hard fight?c) That Spectre in the room next door can go eat a @#%$^&.
The entrance to the next dungeon is very hidden. Collect all hints in the tomb.

Yes, it was in BT2, and it sucked there just as much.
And yeah, nice. If you don't have Garth in the party, every single square on the dungeon floor has the hitpoint drain flag set.
I gave up on the Spectre.
And you're a horrible person for putting the teleport beside the stairs after the undead guards. "Oh something special is near, what's th-" TROLOLOLO you're teleported back to the beginning of the dungeon.
Re: A New Tale - Fan Project
I submit that you should have not removed the ZZGO spell and instead pointed it at your dungeons.
Re: A New Tale - Fan Project
The spectre is just an encounter. No need to fight.I gave up on the Spectre.
Sorry for that, but there sould be a possibility to leave the tomb. I confim, the tomb is very tricky and sometimes annoying. And you're a horrible person for putting the teleport beside the stairs after the undead guards. "Oh something special is near, what's th-" TROLOLOLO you're teleported back to the beginning of the dungeon.
Yes, maybe you're right, but in my opinion, the ZZGO spell is a bit too 'mighty' and an easy way to win a fight.I submit that you should have not removed the ZZGO spell and instead pointed it at your dungeons.
Re: A New Tale - Fan Project
So.
An easy way to leave the dungeon is to simply cast APAR to the first level stairs and exit. Teleport trap not required.
And I was referring to the non-combat effect of ZZGO. Hell, you nerfed a bunch of other high-level combat spells, just nerf ZZGO's combat effects as well if you're that worried about it. NILA for instance is the same power level as FOFO, which is quite lame.

Re: A New Tale - Fan Project
You're right. APAR works if you have enough spell points. An easy way to leave the dungeon is to simply cast APAR to the first level stairs and exit. Teleport trap not required.
Again you're right. There should be a spell to teleport to the dungeon entrance. It's not so funny to have a lot of encounters in the wilderness at higher level. And I was referring to the non-combat effect of ZZGO. Hell, you nerfed a bunch of other high-level combat spells, just nerf ZZGO's combat effects as well if you're that worried about it.
But the difference is the range 60 => 10. Damage is the same.NILA for instance is the same power level as FOFO, which is quite lame.
