What, specifically, happens when one ventures down to level 2 without whatsisnuts' skull with them?
The only difference are the five flags. But I think it's nearly impossible to success at level2 with these hindrances.

I was merely asking for the sake of accurately mapping the level.

Ok, understood!

Boy are you ever stingy with XP when it comes to Beholders - 228 for fighting 10 of them?

Sheesh.

At 19N, 9E on level 2 of the Crypt, the word "comming" should be "coming".

Ok so, just some advice here...

Beware of overloading the party in the late game with MacGuffin-type items, because the party won't have enough space in their collective inventory.

I mean, at this point I have:

- amulet
- goblin figurine
- skull
- mirror
- crypt key
- coin

So between all that, and things like armor, weapons, flame horn for bard, mage and conjurstaves for spellcasters and the like, there isn't much room left...

This must be that already known bug. I thought I had fixed it for all monsters... So probably not for the 'easy' beholders... :?

What "already known bug"?

After I finished all the monsters for the new game, I found this bug in the original game. So I had to update some of my creations...
It seems that I forgot the Beholders...

Maybe post the bug so it can be fixed in the vanilla game too.

On Crypt level 3, at 20N, 6E, the word "been" should not be there.

Wandering the Crypt level 3, the plural form of "Master Sorcerer" is "Master Sorcerer", missing the "s".

The battle at 15N, 4E on Crypt Level 3 is literally unbeatable. The Mangar Lich completely annihilates the party, no matter what.

In Mangar's Tower level 1, the hint at 0N, 13E has the word "slain", which is superfluous. Since they're skeletons, they're obviously dead already and therefore it is unnecessary to point out that they're dead.

GAME-BREAKING BUG ALERT

The "possession" trap at 1N, 20E keeps auto-repeating, trapping the player and preventing any progress.

Seems like you forgot to set the "clear" flag once the party cures the DISP member and discontinues combat.
