Nice review. I apprecaite the shoutout!
The person running the jam did It Came from the Forest. It used a unity package to generate the 2D views. Look interesting but I don't really want to install unity to render images.
I wouldn't either. I like Unity, but it's a tad bloated due to it's AIO mentality. UE4 is WAY better for rendering. UE5 is so much more. The render pipeline for the new Unreal Engine is insane. Fun Fact - The Mandalorian uses UE4 (now 5) for it's CGI pipeline, when rendering environments. Apparently, it's really good for real-time cinematography.

If you are looking for games to try from the game jam, I wrote an article for gamingonlinux.

Nice. I need a break.

Wife wanted a 3D Printer, so we got her one about 3 weeks ago. After a week of her messing with it, she gave up and I had to take over. Had to return it, when I found out the bed was warped. After two weeks of tinkering with it, replacing sub-par parts, tearing up the bed adhesion pad, due to shoddy Chinese instructions, adding a modded auto-leveler and what not, I finally sorted it out to the point the bloody thing is finally working.

Maybe now I can focus on stuff I want to do.

I did make a nice mini of my ogre model, though.

I've avoided 3D printers specifically because they still require some fiddling. Not to mention I see all these cool models and think a 3D printer would require a lot of printing.

Another streamer played my jam entry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uO-5p49coNs

Definitely need to improve the experience for jam games. They did talk about the next game jam being more old school in style so maybe that will help Bt Builder.
