Why is it that whenever you microwave a TV dinner, the potatoes are STILL COLD??

Microwaves mainly heat up the water content. Apparently, potatoes are quite difficult to heat up through microwave.

Oh, those godawful microwaveable mashed potatoes? That's because they have a LOT of ice content mixed in when they're frozen.
