This item never worked on the PC version of BT3. Does anyone know if it functioned correctly on other platforms?

I seem to vaguely recall this critically hitting a group of foes.

The PC BT3 was a bit crap, really. I seem to remember a coupla other high-level items that didn't work - and then there was the fact that the monsters' breath weapons never did any damage...

The biggest problem with the PC version is that the monster rosters for the different levels were completely messed up. There were monsters appearing on the wrong levels routinely.
This was especially noticeable in the Tarmitia levels, where you would have Roman gladiators appearing in Berlin, and Nazi officers appearing in Nottingham. Silly.
