Elfboots and Breathrings

Some items help out the whole team even if only one member has them (speedboots, nospen ring). Other items only help only the wearer (elfcloak). Does one character wearing Elfboots help ALL team members against spells and breath and such? What about a Breathring?

As I recall, Elf Boots help the wearer only, while a Breathring prevents breath attacks against the whole party.
