Using storage room in Skara Brae

I'm playing the game again, after more than twenty years, had a C64. I can't remember how to store items in the storage room in Skara Brae. Can anybody help me please?

As I recall, you can only take items from the storage room, not deliberately place items into it.

Just remembered, that's where you pick up the relics for the final quest. Have to discard items, can't store them anywhere in the game. Makes decision making more interesting as well. Thanks for the reply.

Prior to that, you can also raid the room for a limited supply of things like Harmonic Gems and torches and whatnot.
