Catacombs Level 2

Down the stairs I go, and into a room with 24 doors to choose from. Needless to say, one of the first things I stumbled upon were the stairs going down to level, but I was too chicken to take them. Level 2 awaits!

There are many traps on this level, and my party blindly walked into every single one of them. They're indicated with a T in the above map. Just cast a TRZP before you walk into them, and you'll be just fine.

I accidentally angered a Blue Dragon - a mistake I will never make again. My party was quickly beaten, burned, disposed of, and found themselves in Adventurer's Heaven. Wow, they can really put up a good fight! (This actually happened twice. I just can't beat large numbers of blue dragons!)

I found a most unusual little room located at 8N, 9E. This is a small room that you can only get to with Phase Door, but there's absolutely nothing in it. Kind of like my bedroom.

Status Chamber Ahead:
Those who venture ahead should prepare for a long stay!

Okay, so I went into the Status Chamber. I'll admit, I was a bit frightened, but it was nothing that I couldn't teleport out of!

You face death itself in the form of 1 Soul Sucker!

The Soul Sucker was found at position 0N, 21E, after I traveled east through 15 one-way doors. Once I defeated this little monster (my hunter took him out with one shot, after he took my bard out with one shot), I was left in a room without doors. A little Phase Door action got me out of that little predicament!

Some of the battles I run from, in the interest of mapping. I wish I could fight them all; the experience would be quite a prize!

N18, E11: A sign proclaims that you have entered the chambers of Bashar Kavilor, High Priest. Prepare to die!

In the middle of a very dark room (N12, E10), I found him...

You have entered the living chamber of Bashar Kavilor, the High Priest. He screams, "Infidel! Face now the wrath of a servant of the Mad One!"
I think you're in trouble.

What? I killed this "Master Sorcerer" with one blow totaling 30 hit points? That's a whole lot of hype for nothing!!!

(N11, E11) A voice from no where proclaims:

To the tower fly
A mad one die
One lost the eye

At N11, E6 I found 49 wights. After the battle, I got over 8,000 experience points, and I finally got my hands on a lightwand! What a treat!

N13, E6, I found the High Priest's pet dragon...

This is the High Priest's treasure chamber. His pet dragon, Sphynx, peers at you hungrily. "Sphynx eat now," it growls.

Well, after I stoned him and took the little gold he had (26 pieces), I found my out via another one way door.

Okay, in other news, Mike O'Hara send me the Bard's Tale 1 Click-through maps. Look for them soon!

I also have been working on the HTML only version of the Bard's Tale 3 Cluebook. I think that'll be done in installments, perhaps in chapter sections at a time. The last two were separated by page, but this one is going to be by dimensions.
