Well, I discovered a site where you can play NES games online.
Amongst the ROMS was The Bard's Tale. After getting thoroughly pissed off with Zelda II for the past several hours, I decided to try the NES port of BT and see how it fared.
Well...
It is just horrible. The ambient music playing was just bad, and the map interface was very jittery.
My party (who I named ZeroZero, Horpner, Twoflower, Darendor, Methuselas, and Dulsi) managed to get to Garthe's shop, where the interface finally made me want to scream. I may or may not have done so.
