Sewers Level 3
My party found a portal leading downwards, to the last level of this sewage
infested sewer.
When you've descended down a portal, make sure that your levitation spell
doesn't run out when you need to get back up! You don't want to be stranded
in the bottom level of any dungeon without stairs! When you have zero spell
points, how do you expect to get up the portal?
There were 3 teleporters on this level. If you can read my writing, A takes
you to point B, C takes you to point D, and E takes you to point F.
I always travel with a Stone Elemental. Cheap labor, you know. But, when
a full fledged sorcerer offered to join my party, see you later Stone
Elemental!!!
When every room looks the same, it's really hard to map! There must be
thirty rooms here with the same dimensions with different door combinations.
How confusing!!!
The hand of time writes and cannot erase
Seek the snare from behind the scenes
Wow, I just killed off my guys! I was killed by conjurers who took cheap
shots after their magician friends cast spells to age my party. Can you
believe I was killed off by conjurers? What's this world coming to? I
hope nobody finds out about this!!!
Two differences I noticed between the C64 and IBM versions. First, only
the IBM version lets you do the "Press Z to get a free Stone Elemental in
Skara Brae" trick. Also, when you have a levitation spell, pressing "D"
will descend down the portal. On the IBM version, you must press "A" to
ascend, and on the C64 version, you must press "E".
I was expecting some big enemy at the end of this level, but there was
nothing! The only thing of value I found in this entire level were stairs
going back up to Skara Brae, which took me behind the gates of Mangar's
Tower. No, I couldn't get in, but I sure did get much closer than I have
ever been to it before!
In other news, during the month of August, I may be transferring
www.BardsTale.com to a different web server. I found a much better deal
that what I currently have. All this means is that on the day it transfers
addresses, you may visit the page and it may say "Not Found". When that
happens, clean out your temporary internet files, and you should be able to
see the page on its new server.
You can contact me at WebMaster@BardsTale.com.
Until next month, farewell fellow Bard's Tale fans!
